Description
Performance Grade Bitumen PG 76-10 is graded based on pavement temperature. In the super pavement grading system, binders are classified based on their performance in extreme hot and cold temperatures and are referred to as performance grade bitumen.
The main purpose of asphalt binder grading and selection using the Performance Grade system is to ensure that the binder has properties suitable for the environmental conditions in the field. Performance grade asphalt binders are selected to meet expected weather conditions as well as adjust traffic speeds and volumes.
applications of Performance Grade Bitumen PG 76-10
Performance Grade Bitumen PG 76-10 is commonly used in pavement construction and rehabilitation, edge sealing, crack sealing, spray applications for bridge decks, and in both dense-grade and open-grade hot mix asphalt (HMA).
- road construction
- used in very cold areas
- spraying and crack sealing applications
- paving for both dense-graded and open-graded Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA)
